Can I use your TV Antenna’s to turn my monitor into an HDTV?
Using any of our antenna, simply connecting directly to your monitor would not turn it into a TV.
Can you use a RCA to Coax adapter to connect an antenna signal to a RCA port on a tv?
What makes a TV distinct from a Computer monitor is the inclusion of a built in TV Tuner. What this will allow the TV to do is take the encoded TV signal from the antenna and translate it into an image you can see on the screen. Without a tuner, the display will not know how to process the information, which will lead to no image being shown. If you would like to use an antenna on your monitor, you would need to use an external TV tuner to convert the Antenna's signal into something the monitor can understand. Unfortunately we would not carry a tuner device that will allow you to connect the antenna directly to a monitor.
Unfortunately that would not what the adapter is designed for. The adapter will only change the connector type, it will not convert the signal from Coaxial to a compatible RCA signal.
Typically when using the Coaxial connection on a TV, you are using it to connect an antenna or cable source which would require the use of the TV's internal Tuner. If you were to try and use the RCA port on the TV, the signal would not pass throught into the internal Tuner, which would not allow the signal to be decoded properly. Without the use of the tuner, the Coaxial signal cannot be displayed properly on the TV.
